Wix Bookings Now Lets AI Agents Book Your Services
Wix Bookings now lets customers find and book a business inside a chat with an AI agent, without opening the business's website. Wix calls the feature Bookings Through AI Agents, and it turns on automatically for eligible businesses.
This is AI appointment booking in its simplest form. A customer types something like "Book me a yoga class near me on Saturday morning." The AI agent finds a matching service, shows open time slots, and completes the booking in the same conversation.
For service businesses on the Wix booking system, AI agent booking is a new way to get booked that doesn't start with a website visit.
How AI appointment booking works on Wix

The AI booking agent handles four steps in one chat:
Finds the service. A business appears when a customer asks for a service it offers, in the customer's area, at a time the business is available.
Checks time slots. The agent offers open slots based on the business's availability.
Books. The agent completes the booking for the customer.
Cancels or reschedules. When the customer asks, the agent changes the booking under the business's own policies.
The customer never leaves the conversation.
Same rules as booking on the website
Bookings made through an AI agent follow the same rules as bookings made on the site:
Customers pay the same price and tax.
Customers accept the business's policies and answer its booking form questions.
The business receives the same customer details.
The booking appears in the Wix calendar like any other, with no separate label.
Nothing changes in how the business runs its day. Only the place the booking starts is new.
What a business needs before AI agents can book it
Wix lists five setup steps. A site missing any of them can't be booked through AI agents yet.
A bookable service. Add a service customers can book
A Premium plan. Upgrade the site to Premium
Online payments. Connect online payments in Wix Bookings
A published site. Publish the site
Search engine indexing. Let search engines find the site
The last step is the easiest to miss. Wix requires search engine indexing before AI agents can book a business, so a site hidden from Google is left out here too.
Where the AI agents status shows
The status lives on the AI agents card under Bookings → Booking Integrations in the Wix dashboard. The card shows one of two badges:
Connected: customers can find and book the business through AI agents.
Action required: one or more setup steps are missing.
The same card turns AI agents off or back on. Only the site owner and collaborators with permission to manage Bookings settings can change it.
The card only appears for eligible businesses. No card means the business isn't eligible yet.
What AI agents read when they choose a business

An AI agent matches a customer's own words to the services a business offers. It works from the booking setup: the service name, the description, the location, and the open time slots.
That makes plain service names matter more than before. A request for a "deep tissue massage near me" lines up with a service called "Deep Tissue Massage (60 min)." A branded name like "The Renewal Experience" gives the agent nothing to match.
Service name: "Deep Tissue Massage (60 min)" is easy to match. "The Renewal Experience" is not.
Description: what's included, who it's for, and how long it takes, rather than a slogan.
Location: a business address set in Wix, not left blank.
Availability: open slots across the week, not one open slot a month.
AI agents for small business bookings only surface what the business has actually set up. Services with vague names, empty descriptions, or no open slots are easy to pass over.
How this connects to Google Search, Maps, and AI Mode

AI agent booking builds on an earlier update. In February 2026, Wix announced an integration with Google that shows Wix Bookings services, prices, and near real-time availability in Google Search, Google Maps, and Google AI Mode for businesses that use Google Business Profile.
Together, these updates move booking out of the website and into the places people already search and ask questions. The website still matters: it's where the services, policies, and SEO come from. More bookings can just start somewhere else now.
FAQ
Does a business have to sign up for AI agent booking?
No. Wix turns it on automatically for eligible businesses. Customers can book once the five setup steps are complete.
Can a business turn it off?
Yes, at any time, from the AI agents card on the Booking Integrations page.
Do AI bookings look different in the Wix calendar?
No. They appear like any other booking, with no separate label.
Do customers pay less or skip the booking form?
No. They pay the same price and tax, accept the same policies, and answer the same booking form questions.
Why is there no AI agents card in the dashboard?
The card only appears for eligible businesses. If it's missing, the business isn't currently eligible.
Bookable is step two. Findable is step one.
An AI agent can only book a business it can find. Being recommended comes first, and it's the same work behind questions like how to show up in ChatGPT or Google AI Mode: clear services, strong Wix SEO, an accurate Google Business Profile, and a site that search engines can read.
